A little regret

When you regret something, you don’t have to keep going back to that moment

Some words can’t be taken back once they are said. Some choices only look wrong afterwards. And some things you didn’t do, and never got the chance to do again. When the night gets quiet, your mind rewinds by itself and stops at that moment, playing it over: if only I had done it another way.

Regret means you cared

You usually feel regret because that moment, or that person, mattered to you. Back then you could only choose with what you knew and the strength you had at the time. You see it more clearly now because you have walked a little further, not because the person you were then was foolish.

Let that moment rest on the platform

The Quiet Station has no timetable. The train that left won’t come back, but you can sit here for a while without reaching a verdict. Write your “if only” on a bedside note, then add one small thing you can still do now, and fold it away so it stays only on your device. If this keeps weighing on you and is affecting your sleep or daily life, it may help to talk with someone you trust or a professional.

No account, no name, and you can leave whenever you like.
