Feeling insecure doesn’t mean you are too clingy or too sensitive
Insecurity often comes from having been overlooked or having lost something before, or from rarely having been held steadily. Your heart remembers those moments, so it keeps bracing in advance, afraid of being let down again. It isn’t a flaw. It is you trying hard to protect yourself, and caring a lot about the people around you.
In the Seaside Loft, be your own steady place first
Outside the Seaside Loft the waves keep returning to the shore, unhurried, never going far. Put a hand on your chest, breathe slowly a few times, and tell yourself “I’m here.” Or write on a bedside note three small things that show you deserve to be treated well, even just that you ate on time today or helped someone a little, then fold it away so it stays only on your device. Not all of your sense of safety has to come from other people. You can give some of it to yourself, a little at a time. If this unease stays heavy and affects your sleep, your relationships or your daily life, it may help to talk with someone you trust or a professional.
